Picadillo- beef and potato soup

There are days that I feel like waiting till the absolute last second to start dinner. Those days are where I whip out this recipe. It’s so fast, delicious, and of course home cooked. My husband has been traveling this week so I went ahead and made this for my kids. Typically when he travels I tend to bring out the sandwiches and hot dogs…so this was a nice break for my kids.

1- 1/2 lbs of ground beef
3 whole gold potatoes sliced
8 cups of water
1 ( 8 ounce) can of tomato sauce
1/2 a teaspoon of garlic salt
2 Knorr chicken bouillon cubes

Brown the ground beef in the bottom of the pan over medium high heat. Drain fat. Add the tomato sauce and garlic salt. Stir for a minute. Add water, potatoes, and bouillon cubes. Bring to a boil. Boil for 10 minutes, bring down heat and simmer for an additional 5. Serve in bowls, and enjoy.

Additional: I like to squeeze lemon and a dash of Tabasco sauce on my bowl for an extra kick.
